Bio

The reverse biography [BETA]

A biography usually starts with the begining, which is usually the boring part. So why not start with the most recent events? I’ll be adding more info to the top, as my life moves through new stages, and push the past down the page as I go along.

The practicing of architecture for the first time…

As time has gone by, working on the attic, the garage and socializing a bit, we’ve also begun a couple of architectural projects – out here in the real world. This has meant, reading up on laws and regulations, meeting a lot of new people and realizing what the bureaucracy of local- and regional buildingauthorities can be like at it’s less attractive sides. This has so far been fascinating to me, and things have worked out quite flawlessly, but I’m hoping it’s gonna give me the urge for going back to, and enjoy the remaining years of school.

The moving back to Kristiansand…

During the winter and spring of 2011 I finished my 6th semester and Bachelor degree of Architecture at Aarhus School or Architecture. Being a bit tired of what I feel is an abstract approach to architecture, I moved back to Kristiansand (Norway) in search of some concrete»=? architecture related tasks and a bit of spare time to finish a couple of other projects I’ve been meaning to finish for a long time.

Moving back into my fathers old house where my siblings have grown bigger, and avalibility of rooms had gotten worse, I took on yet another big project before even being able to touch the others – restoring the whole attic, to create a flat where I could be dwelling together with my girlfriend during this year back home.

The new life in Aarhus…

During the summer of 2008 I got a letter, saying that I’ve been accepted into Aarhus School of Architecture, based on my «opptakelsesprøve»!?». I was a bit startled at first, but of course I accepted the STUDIePLASS;cA`?

After living in Aarhus (Denmark) for three years, I can safely say that its widened my horizon in many ways, and given me the posibilities to see the world in a new way.

The years in the middle…

After highschool I got the oportunity to establish a «enkeltpersonsforetak»!ÆDQ, mostly getting work from my fathers architecture studio, but also some other local companies in Kristiansand.

During these two years, I attended Noroff school of studies, and completed a one year study of photography, graphic design and motion graphics.

Getting born, amongst other things…

I was born a cold winters day, in the otherwise relative mild south coast of Norway, more specifically, in Kristiansand. The year was 1987, but you probably won’t find the next couple of years very interesting in detail.

I finihsed primary school at Oddemarka Ungdomsskole in 2003, and went directly on to study at Gimle High School where I got my general university admissions certification in 2006.
